Shadow people

Don’t destroy 

Your radiant light

In your bones 

Protects you from 

Harm

Your warmth 

Is courage 

Melting the chains 

Of those around

I pray that you join

With all the children 

A world filled with

Play. With the magic 

Of presence 

With a love so great

The bards speak 

Of it it into the future

I am sorry you were born

To this broken world

We try our best 

But have stood in the 

Darkness too long

Too often we fail

Your innocence

Hope is love
